Happy Birthday to one of the oldest and dearest friendships of my life @arsiak 🤍
I met Arsi when I was 13 years old…a brand-new immigrant from Syria, trying to figure out this whole new world in Chicago. She was visiting her family two doors down for the summer. She had the sweetest Southern accent from Arkansas and the kindest heart. From day one, she made me feel seen, safe, and welcome. We would play outside till the sun came down and sit in-front of my house on the steps and talk about life, hair, makeup….I couldn’t wait for her to visit every summer as she was truly my first friend here.
34 years later… here we are. Still friends. Still growing. Still doing life together as women, as mothers, as creatives 🫶🏼
Some friendships are meant to last a season.
Some are meant to walk with you through every version of you.

I am an immigrant.
I came to this country at 13 years of age from Damascus, Syria not knowing exactly how it would all work out, but believing deeply in the idea of starting over.
My parents left everything familiar behind so we could have opportunity, safety, and a future built on hard work and values. Like so many immigrant families, we didn’t come with entitlement, we didn’t come to take, but we came with gratitude, resilience, and the willingness to work twice as hard. At the age of 16 I had 3 jobs while attending high school.
Immigrants are not a headline or a talking point. We are business owners, caregivers, teachers, artists, builders, and parents raising the next generation of Americans. Especially right now, when immigration is being spoken about with fear and division, I think it’s important to remember this truth: America was built by people who came from somewhere else, carrying hope and determination in their hands.
I am proud of where I come from. I am grateful for the life I’ve built here. And I believe this country is stronger when it remembers that immigrants don’t weaken it but we help build it.
This is my story. And it’s one I’ll always stand behind.

@mz.manfredini has always dreamed of these photos capturing her family and the beautiful bond with her daughter. After waiting for the right moment, we finally brought that vision to life when her little one turned nine months.
What made this session even more special is that we found a way to include her angel 😇 baby boy, Mateo, with a symbol of a teddy bear (big brother). A reminder that love always stays with us, in every chapter of life. 💕

My work isn’t measured by follows, likes or influence but in something greater: the trust, love, and true connections with the people I photograph.
Every photo I take holds a piece of my heart, my story, and the trust of the person in front of my lens. This kind of work isn’t something you can rush or trade, it’s meant for those who truly value the soul behind the image.

I am back home 🇺🇸🥴 but my heart and soul are still floating in the turquoise waters of Mallorca🥹 I will be catching up on emails and phone calls starting this Monday. Thank you all for your patience during my time off.
Santanyí 🏝️
After spending 2 days in Alcudia, we headed to Santanyí for the final stretch of our trip and like they say save the best for last! This part of the island completely stole our hearts. Our Airbnb sat right above Cala Santanyí with the most unreal turquoise water and a view I’ll never forget. I could’ve stayed there forever. It truly felt like heaven on earth. Everything we needed was just steps away including coffee shops restaurants and little markets which made slow mornings and sunset dinners that much sweeter.
While in Santanyí we explored some of the island’s most beautiful and must see beaches:
Cala Llombards, Cala d’Or and Cala Figuera a peaceful little fishing port that looked like a painting. Santanyí’s old town was full of charm and character with lots of little boutiques and restaurants. We had amazing meals at East26, Café Val and Alchemy Plaça each one so unique and delicious!
On our last day it was a bit cloudy so we headed back to Palma to enjoy the city one last time and of course ended the day with almond ice cream 🍦
Now we’re back home and already missing the magic of Mallorca. So grateful for the memories the views the laughter and the time spent together. We’ll definitely be back 🙏🏼🤍 thank you for coming along🤍
Valldemossa —> Deia —> Sóller
After a couple of magical days exploring Palma, we wrapped up with dinner at El Camino (honestly one of the best meals we’ve had here) and topped the night off with almond ice cream 🍦, we picked up a rental car and set off on a mountain adventure 🚗 🏔️
First stop: Valldemossa. This storybook town stole our hearts with its cobblestone alleys, flower-draped balconies, and quiet charm. We strolled through the old streets, soaking up every bit of its rustic beauty.
Next, we wound our way down the dramatic cliffs to Cala Deià, where we lunched at Ca’s Patro March. A seaside spot with views so breathtaking they didn’t look real. The road there was narrow and twisty, but my hubby handled it like a pro. I was fully in my passenger princess era, enjoying every curve knowing we were in safe hands.
We ended the day in Sóller, a lovely little town nestled between mountains and orange groves. We wandered through the plaza, people watched over coffee and gelato, and just let time slow down.
Mallorca keeps surprising us, one town at a time. 💛
Spanish 🇪🇸 getaway with the family before summer officially wraps. 📍Mallorca, a dreamy island off the coast of Spain, has been on my bucket list since I was 22. I’m so happy to finally be here with my favorite people.
We landed early in Palma, the island’s capital, which gave us a full day to explore. Here’s a quick look at how we spent our first day:
• Relaxed by the beach and pool at our resort
• Walked through downtown Palma and visited the stunning cathedral
• The kids did a little shopping
• Enjoyed a delicious tapas lunch at Bar España
• Had dinner with a beautiful view at Lila Portal in Portals Nous beach. @lila.portals
